Nature & Co is a New Zealand limited liability company, launched
in October 1998. It was founded and is managed by Dr Nicolas Chappaz,
PhD in Geography from the University of Auckland.
It is a purely private venture, independent of any organisation, government,
vested interests, or formed body of influence.
Nature & Co aims to provide
comprehensive
information and resources, specialising in New Zealand's nature.
Natureandco.co.nz/.com was created in order to fulfill these aims.
The content of this site is being constantly enlarged and updated,
in order to become progressively of interest and use to all those who
have an interest in nature. Particular points of focus include:
- Education: Natureandco.co.nz/.com aims at becoming a rich source
of quality information available to students of a broad range of ages,
including bibliographies and references to other sources of information
- General knowledge: with Natureandco.co.nz/.com, to learn about the
multiple aspects of New Zealand's nature, and to find references to
further information
- Entertainment: for the fun of seeing the land, wildlife, people
involved in nature; of learning about all those subjects, and more
- Travel and tourism: to find out what to do and see in the broadest
scope of nature-related activities; to organise activities and make
bookings;
- Community: to provide areas and resources for people with specific
interests to communicate and share information
- The supply of a range of useful or fun nature-related goods: information
material such as books and maps, useful items such as outdoor equipment,
natural and quality foods, clothing, and more.
