THE VEGETATION OF TIRITIRI MATANGI ISLAND

Before re-planting was undertaken in 1984, bush cover was mainly restricted to
gullies and the steep coastal edges. Some of the typical species seen
on this photograpgh are pohutukawa, cabbage tree, flax, manuka and kanuka.
